Part of contemporary society sees Nude as something vulgar. It's known that this is an ancient art, in which today existing preconceptions were not yet mentioned in past and now the eroticism stands out over model's nudity in the photograph. Among many other goals of the painting to consolidate itself as art, one was to find an accurate means to record an idea, a concept or an image that would never happen again. There were really many ideas of how possible would that be, then came the photography, for the first time in 1826, with Joseph Nicéphere Niépce. Nowadays, photography has a strong realism, in despite of those tools which create distrust in picture's authenticity, the concept of image still has a great importance in media. The photography itself has taken many conceptions (fashion, journalistic, documental, etc) and this monograph aims to consolidate the nude as art.
